Album Cover Questionaire

In order to make sure that we are appealing to our target audience, we conducted a questionnaire to find out what they feel should be included on a album cover, and whether some of our ideas would be appealing to them. We asked both male and female young people to make sure that the results we collect are fair, as in some cases album covers have been criticised for being to masculine/feminine.
I collected the results and inserted the answers into a pie chat form so that it is easier to visualise what people find the most important/appealing.

From these results, we can see that the majority of the people feel that bright colours are appealing on an album cover. This was a positive response for our group, as bright colours would fit in well with our song and overall image. The results also show us that although a large proportion of people think that an image of the artist should be included on the front of an album, a lot of the people we asked feel that an image should not be included. Therefore when it comes to deciding whether or not we have our artist James Gomez on the cover, we must take all the other factors into account and see what looks the most professional. One of the main findings that came from the questionnaire is that the majority of the people find it crucial to have the artists name on the front of the album. Half of the people we asked said that they find effects appealing on an album cover, due to the results being close, we have decided as a group to see whether effects benefit our cover, or whether they take away focus from other areas. The last question we asked was very important as it will tell us what colours people find the most appealing, yellow came back as the highest answer which we feel will fit in well with our ideas.
